RC&A Represents Aerial Imagery Firms at
Public ADIZ Meeting
In an attempt stop the temporary Washington Air
Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) from becoming
permanent, Richard Crouse participated in a public
meeting that consisted of Government representatives
from the FAA, TSA, Homeland Security, Defense
Department, Customs and Border Protection, and
the Secret Service.
In his presentation, Richard agreed that the
security of our Nation’s Capital was of
the utmost importance, but the ADIZ was not achieving
this purpose. It hinders commerce and our ability
to do work, thus creating disadvantageous inefficiencies.
Flight delays in this restricted area cost RC&A
over $40,000 last year alone and have cost our
customers countless dollars as well. It not only
hinders our business, but the businesses that
support us.
One of the main points Richard conveyed to the
Government officials was the importance of aerial
imagery to the everyday lives of all people. He
went on to say that the services we provide are
critical to the creation and maintenance of our
Nation’s infrastructure.
